Firebird #1: General info |
This is the second Firebird i bought. (#2 was the first one, logical
isn't it ??).
It's a 1991 3.1L V6.
It's in quite good shape, but slow as fuck.
We'll fix that in the months to come !!!

5 june 2006 : Dedicated project car ! |

I really like driving around in this car, but as you can read on
the main page, the law decided otherwise.
So this car is no longer street-legal, but will become a
project car.
Sad, but on the other hand gives us some more freedom to go all-out crazy !

19 februari 2005 : Minor suspension upgrade in the making ! |
If you own a thirdgen f-body, you know (as i do) that the stock suspension is beyond crap.
So i decided on tackling that problem with some new parts ... i've
been planning and ordering this junk for a few months now,
and now everything is complete and ready to be installed.
Just for you, we layed the whole setup out on the ground and took a picture !!
It's a combination of parts from respected manufacturers such as :
- Suspension techniques : Sway-bars and lowered springs
- Koni : shocks
- BMR : panhard rod + relocation kit, LCA's, strut tower brace, steering brace
- Spohn : Billet strut mounts
Also new wheels (19") and tires are planned for the very near future.
Meanwhile, the swaybars are already installed, and i am very happy with the result !
If the other parts are as effective as these swaybars, it will take plastic surgery
to get te grin of my face !!!

4 august 2004 : Let there be rock ! |
Finally, some decent tunes in my car.
The old radio is replaced by a Blaupunkt radio with cd-changer.
Put Boston Acoustics speakers in the front (FX7) and back (NX-97),
but you already knew that !
I've also put a Optima YellowTop battery in my Firebird.
And to top it of, a Grant GT steering wheel !!.
As far as the header-story goes, i've given up on PF&E !!!
For the near future, a serious transmission-upgrade, suspension upgrade, new rims are planned.

14 may 2004 : Speakers good, chip bad !!!! |
I just put Boston Acoustics NX97 and FX7 in the car.
They sound pretty good, but it's still on the stock radio, so they aren't really tested yet.
Then i also installed a Jet Stage 2 chip ... did nothing ... really ...
I'm almost sure it doesn't even compensate for his own extra weight ... sad but true.

16 September 2003 : magical wheels my ass !!!! |
I timed my car yesterday to see what the ASP power pulleys did for my performance.
My conclusion : you get what you pay for ... so for 70$, it's not much.
Check out my performance page , the numbers speak for itself.

13 September 2003 : 2 magical wheels on the service-belt ! |
Today we slapped ASP power pulleys on this car.
Haven't tested it yet (it's saturday and then the streets are crawling
with cops, you know !!!)
But i drove around a little bit today and i'm under the impression that
there is quite some difference.
