Corvette: Pro-fuel inline fuel pressure regulator

When i bought my Holley fuelpump, the paper included said:
    "No fuel pressure regulator required".
Little did i know them jokers from Holley were just kidding ...
Thing is, the pump i have just overfloods the carburetor, and in
conjuction with the crappy inlet manifold from Powerplus (possibly
sucking in false air) it gave us impressive pyrotechnics.
I'm not talking about a little flame sparking from the carburetor, but
one that reaches from the car to the ceiling !
It went straight thru my aircleaner, smoked part of the foam filter inside.
Neighbours thought Rammstein was playing a private gig in our garage !
This is just a cheap simple solution (because it was just a test, it wasn't
supposed to be nescesary), but it does the job.

So, the moral to this story is:
   - looking over your carb when it's not fine-tuned can give you a serious tan.
   - when you replace your stock fuelpump, get a fuel-pressure
regulator. Even if it's just a simple one like this.
